Ancient Greece Unit

In this unit, students explore the artistic and architectural achievements of Ancient Greece, particularly Greek pottery, sculpture, and temples. Through hands-on projects and research, students gain a deeper understanding of the significance of Greek artistic expression and its connections to mythology and philosophy. The unit integrates both the creative process and analytical skills, allowing students to express historical narratives through their own artistic interpretations.

Students make papier mache Greek urns, each with imagery inspired by a different Greek myth.

In their studied on Greek architecture, students make water-color paintings of Doric, Ionic, or Corinthian Greek columns.
